Chris Barnett

Chris is an Immigration Attorney at Alma, where he represents startups, high-growth technology companies and individuals in both family and employment-based immigration matters.

Chris brings more than a decade of business immigration experience, including time in two of the nation's largest immigration law firms. His practice includes advising corporate clients of all sizes and industries on risk mitigation, policy interpretation and employee mobility before the U.S. Department of Labor, U.S. Department of Homeland Security and U.S. Department of State, as well as on immigration issues arising from mergers, acquisitions and corporate restructuring.

He is an active member of relocation councils, HR organizations and networking groups, having served as a board member, committee member, and conference presenter. He is also a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and has served on several committees in addition to presenting to fellow immigration attorneys on trending topics in US immigration.

Chris cherishes spending time with his wife, kids and two dogs, traveling to Switzerland and Austria to visit family, and watching Italian soccer.
